The Main Event - Sunday 6th June 2010 (sponsored by Hudson Signs and PPG)

Firstly, a big thank you to sponsors Hudson Signs and PPG. Also many thanks to TDG Logistics and Paul Bridges in particular for being so helpful in organising the stages.

We've had some of the most respected local bands from around East Anglia play on the main stage at StowFest since the festival launched in 2007. This years event will see the reputation for hosting quality acts continue and we can now confirm the full line-up for the main stage and the Amplitude Stage:

MAIN STAGE LINE-UP:

12.00pm: Amplitude acts including Ooh Rah! and Hooker's Green

1.20pm: Blacktop Harrison
Formed in November 2007, Blacktop Harrison produce earth-trembling down-tuned rock originals featuring strong melodic hooks interspersed with social commentary regarding the trials and contradictions of modern life. Critically acclaimed debut and second album releases on their own M13 label are available directly by messaging www.myspace.com/blacktopharrison

2.00pm: The B Goodes
The B. Goodes formed in July 2009 with a shared view to write and perform original music taking influence from the 50's, 60's & 70's. The sound which came out was a mixture of beat, surf, soul and rock 'n' roll. With many a melody and hook, The B. Goodes are an energetic and dynamic live band with the emphasis very much on having a ball. So, if you like balls, you should come on down, because you'll love The B. Goodes

2.40pm: Housework
From Colchester, Housework are an ultra-tight hard-hitting funk / soul band who are making a big name for themselves on the East Anglian music scene and aim to “put the fire back into funk music!” The band play mainly original tunes and have recently reached the finals of the “Live and Unsigned” band competition. Catch their set at StowFest and you’ll see why!

3.20pm: The Vagaband
The Vagaband mix the elements of country, folk, rock, soul & swing. The mood is joyous, the songs are colourful and the dance floor is bouncing. Sometimes ironic, other times weighty, the band enjoy balancing their act between choice covers, energetic original songs with an infectious beat and old time classic’s that deal with those age old honky-tonk issues - love, death and choo-choo trains!

4.20pm: Underline the Sky
Underline The Sky's raw and energetic live performance allowed them to beat off strong competition in the Road to V contest, and ultimately, grace the 4Music stage at V Festival 2009. Playing over 250 shows in only two years makes for a live performance you just can't miss.

5.00pm: South of the Border
"Authentic" R&B/Soul-Funk/Blues-Rock outfit... Ipswich's endearing bunch of "real feel" musicians. Fronted by American, Nolan Wiltz this group features emotive vocals, sizzling guitars and the tightest, funkiest rhythm section at this level outside Memphis. SOB does covers of popular and obscure tracks and always "stamp their own" spontaneous, improvisational grooves. This is the ideal festival band. Live music played the way it should be played. You will definitely "Feel da Funk".

5.40pm: The Gangsters
The Gangsters are one of East Anglia's original premier world ska bands. This eight-piece ,highly fuelled ska band with originality at the forefront of their sound is totally committed, driven, with a hard-hitting and infectious infusion of dance. The Gangsters will have all die-hard music lovers skanking and moving.
