Stowmarket Town Council are doing more than ever before to support musical talent in Suffolk. As well as StowFest we have launched the "Live at the Regal," music nights featuring top local acts. The first "Live at the Regal" will take place on Saturday 7th June and will feature Hannah Scott and Pity The Fool.
Hannah Scott is a highly rated singer songwriter from Ipswich who's excellent debut album in 2007 was rated best local album by BBC Radio Suffolk's Stephen Foster. Hannah has an unique voice and is an excellent pianist. Her beautifully delivered folky songs are catchy and melodic. Female trio Pity The Fool made their Regal debut in early May and put on a breathtaking performance of quirky original material combined with cleverly chosen covers. The unusual line up of cello / piano / lead vocals have hard to define style - jazzy, yet poppy. Both acts are extremely talented, classy and entertaining and well worth checking out. The newly refurbished bar opens at 6pm with the first act on at 7.30pm so come along and enjoy a pre-show drink or two!
