StowFest 2013 dates
StowFest 2013 will take place on the evening of Friday 31st May and throughout the day on Saturday 1st June at Chilton Fields, Stowmarket.
StowBlues this Saturday
Stowmarket's wondeful blues festival, StowBlues, takes place this Saturday - 25th May - at the Museum of East Anglian Life from 2pm onwards. Entry costs just £2.50 on the door or you can get tickets in advance from the Mid Suffolk Tourist Information Centre for £2. Vist StowBlues for more information.
Mini beer festival at StowFest
Real ale fans will be in their element at StowFest this year with Stowmarket Rugby Club announcing that they'll be holding a mini beer-festival at the same time! Twelve real ales will be available when StowFest kicks off at 7pm on Friday 31st May. We'll try and get a list of the beers on the website before then.
John Peel Centre Stage Line-Up Extended!
We've decided to extend the line-up on the John Peel Centre Stage by adding young hammond-driven funk rocksters The Hyper Manics to the line-up! They'll kick the stage off at 1pm on Saturday 1st June. Visit the video section to see footage of their first ever gig!
ALSO, in another change to the John Peel Centre Stage, the excellent Twisted Piglet - who've played on the Amplitude Stage several times in the past - are now playing at 5.20pm. It's great to see this young original band progress and achieve a big following in the region. They are a great advert for the work that Amplitude do. Don't miss them!

Total Driving to sponsor Main Stage at StowFest We're pleased to announce that Stowmarket based driver-training specialists, Total Driving have agreed to sponsor one of our Main Stages at StowFest 2013. This is excellent news for the event as the increased income will help to make StowFest an even better event! Total Driving specialise in various categories of driving tuition including car, HGV and minibus. Calling all charities and community groups! We want to create a real community feel at StowFest 2013 and we're looking for charities and community groups to help us achieve that by having fundraising stalls at the event. We want to hear from charities who are keen to run lucky dip stalls, tombolas, face painting and any activity that is going to be fun for children as well as adults to take part in. We don't charge a fee for charity stalls and it's a great opportunity to raise money for your organisation whilst enjoying some great live music! We'll be laying the site out differently to previous years by bringing everything closer together in order to create a more "intimate" atmosphere. This means that stalls won't find themselves 50+ metres from the stage! For more information, please click here.

What is StowFest? StowFest is a free community music festival in Stowmarket, Suffolk organised by Stowmarket Town Council in partnership with Stowmarket Rugby Club. The festival launched in 2007 since when it has evolved and improved - including successfully switching venue from the Recreation Ground to Chilton Fields in 2011 which has enabled the festival to develop.
