About StowFest
StowFest 2012 Set for 9th and 10th June. StowFest - which has traditionally been held on the first weekend in June - will be held the week after this year to fit in with the half term week which has moved due to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The event is again set to be held at Chilton Fields having successfully moved to the venue this year. There will once again be the Main Stage on both the Saturday and the Sunday, plus the Amplitude Stage - featuring young bands and musicians - on the Saturday. In addition, there will also be the John Peel Centre stage on the Sunday. Keep checking back for developments.
Main Stage Band application window now closed. If you're a band interested in playing at StowFest, I'm afraid that all slots have now been provisionally filled with back ups in place if those provisionally booked can't make it. We start booking bands at the start of January so if you want to play in 2013, please get in touch during December this year. Note that slots are extremely limited.
.......however, bands sought for the John Peel Stage! That's right, the John Peel Centre for Creative Arts are running a stage at StowFest on the Sunday (10th June) and are looking for acts who are willing to volunteer to perform on it! If you're interested, please email

with details of your act including links to webpages. Note that space will be very limited!
StowFest 2012 still a two-day event - but no Acoustic Sessions. At StowFest 2011, day two of StowFest was billed "The Acoustic Sessions" and featured some great acoustic acts from around the region and beyond. This year, we've taken the decision to scrap the acoustic theme on day two. Daniel Harvey, one of the organisers explained, "There'll still be a number of great acoustic acts playing at StowFest including several solo performers. However, we've decided not to make the Sunday an exclusively acoustic day, although it will have a different feel to the Saturday. We hope to announce the lineup soon so you'll see what I mean."
The lineup for StowFest 2012 is set to be the best yet, full of quality and diversity. A number of acts are already confirmed whilst several others are provisionally booked. Keep checking back for details of the lineup.
